Very few people believed that Pascual would actually coach Barcelona in the 2008/09 season when he was appointed as head coach in late 2007/08 when he was called to take over after Dusko Ivanovic was sacked, but Pascual surprised everyone.
Pascual was given the chance to prove himself last summer when he was given the green light to build his own team and he managed to turn Barcelona into one of the best Euroleague clubs leading them to the Euroleague Final Four and winning the ACB title.
For his great work Pascual was awarded with the 'ACB coach of the Year' award given by the Coaches Association in Spain.
Pascual who is the youngest coach to have won the ACB title as head coach is currently in Thessaloniki, Greece taking part in an International baketball coaching clinic.
