The Houston Rockets (19-15) defeated the Boston Celtics (20-14) at home 127-113 (35-24, 22-31, 35-31, 35-27) and extended their winning streak to three games.

For the Rockets, James Harden scored 45 points (on 11/26 shooting, including 9/18 from three).

After the game, Harden said, per USA Today: “Of course, I should be in that conversation [MVP discussion]. I received a lot of hate, but it won’t stop me from going out there and killing it every single night and being the dog that I am. You can name a few other people that can be in that conversation, but realistically, it’s coming back.”

James Harden led the Rockets with 45 points, Clint Capela added 24 points and 18 rebounds, Eric Gordon posted 20 points.

On the other hand, Kyrie Irving managed 23 points and 11 assists for the Celtics, Marcus Morris contributed 19 points, Jaylen Brown finished with 18 points.
