The newcomers in the A1 division of the Greek league, Kavala, did not manage to get the letter of clearance from the Administration Office of the Greek sports Committee, so it seems very difficult for the team to participate in the Greek championship.
As it was announced yesterday from the Sports Committee, the team of head-coach Kostas Pilafidis, did not register the appropriate documents, and as a result the team cannot participate in the greek league, which has started the last weekend.
The chairman of the team, mr. Papakonstantinou, via an announcement clearly stated:
"Kavala thinks that the decision of the greek Sports Committee is false, and the team's board will make right movements in order to insult this decision by all the legal means.
Kavala also, while stating our greviance, wants the supports from the Community, the Equity, the residents of Kavala city, and states that the board of the team will fight till our justification."
It must be also noticed, that ESAKE's board (administration of the greek league) have discussions in order to decide whether the championship will continue with 13 teams, or A.O. Dafnis will be advanced in A1 division and replace the team of Kavala.
