The New York Knicks officially fired center Joakim Noah. The 33-year-old player had $37.8 million left on his contract. Noah missed the Knicks’ training camp and all preseason games.

Back in the summer of 2016, the former president, Phil Jackson, signed Noah to a four-year, $72 million contract. But things for the two-time NBA All-Star didn’t go well in New York. He had various health problems, while his conflict with the Knicks’ coach, Jeff Hornacek, led to his suspension.

Last season Noah played in just 7 games, averaging 1.7 points and two rebounds
