After guiding Real Madrid to a vital game two win over Panathinaikos, big man Walter Tavares believes that it won’t be the last time that the two most successful European side will face-off.

The contrast of the first two games played between Real and Panathinaikos has been huge, with the Greek side blowing the 2015 EuroLeague out in game one with Madrid responding with an 89-82 win in game two.

“I don’t know, I really don’t know,” Tavares said to Eurohoops when asked about Panathinaikos’ current situation.

“It is sad. They (Panathinaikos) are one of the biggest teams in the EuroLeague. I don’t believe that they will eventually leave the EuroLeague. They are a big part of this competition, have amazing fans, and I think that it is sad.”
