Sergio Llull road to recovery has been stressful and hard work, but the end is near for last season’s EuroLeague MVP.

The Spanish international, who tore his ACL during preparation for Eurobasket against Belgium, last August has been training hard and sharing his progress frequently on social media to delighted Real Madrid fans and the best news has now been revealed.

Llull has been training with Real Madrid with head coach Pablo Laso stating that he could feature towards the end of the season, provided that Llull is happy.

“This week he has already completed some training with the team,” said Laso.

“He could play in days, although in principle I don’t think it’s going to be next week. We are not going to take any risk until we believe he is a hundred percent ready.”

Llull averaged career highs in his MVP-season last term. The 30-year-old averaged 16.5 points and 5.9 assists a game, leading Madrid to the EuroLeague Final Four and the Liga Endesa finals.
