CSKA Moscow further asserted their dominance on top of the EuroLeague standings as a defensive masterclass handed them a convincing 93-73 road win against Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv.

A devastating 30-18 second-quarter surge led by Cory Higgins and Nando De Colo gave CSKA their first double-digit lead, which they maintained for the majority of the game as their defence turned back every hint of a Maccabi revival.

De Colo paced the winners with 19 points.

Zalgiris are within touching distance of clinching a playoff spot after they disposed of Barcelona 90-74 in Kaunas.

Axel Toupane led Zalgiris with a career-high 21 points. Kevin Pangos added 18 as the Lithuanian giants improved to 15-9 overall, while Barcelona drops further down at 7-17.

Amath M’Baye had 14 points, with Curtis Jerrells finishing with 13 points and five assists as they helped Olimpia Milano to a 77-64 win over Anadolu Efes.

The loss means that Anadolu Efes are now eliminated from playoff contention. Sonny Weems netted 19 points on his Anadolu Efes debut.

Valencia pulled away at the second attempt against Brose Bamberg to record an 86-70 win.

The Liga Endesa side took a 26-11 lead after the first quarter but were pegged back in the second quarter as they were held to just nine points. Valencia though maintained their lead after three quarters and raced clear in the fourth for the win.

Alberto Abalde tied a career high with 18 points to lead five Valencia scorers in double figures as they drained 15 three-pointers overall.

Baskonia overcame in-form Khimki 87-77 to keep their hopes of a playoff spot alive, as they sit just below Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv, who occupy that last place.

Rodrigue Beaubois led the winners with 16 points and Toko Shengelia tallied 15 points as they cancelled out Alexey Shved’s 23-point effort.
