Unicaja Malaga Basketball and Robert Archibald have agreed to continue as the Scottish player signed an extension with the team for another season.
Robert Archibald will now be spending his third season with Unicaja, having arrived in the 2008/09 season from Azovmash Mariupol of Ukraine.
In the prior two seasons Archibald the Scott has played 102 official matches, averaging 8.4 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.
Manolo Rubia stated: “Robert is a player who renewed his contract at the expressed wish of Aíto (Reneses) who knows him since many years and trusts him a lot. The deal has taken a little longer because he wanted to sign for more than a year and we only offered a one season extension. We have finally reached a satisfactory agreement with the player who will stay with us for a while longer. The player wanted to continue playing for our team as he is happy with the fans, the city… And we kept a leader in the locker room too, who knows how to work the group and gives us great wisdom and boldness regarding the interior affairs of the team.”
Archibald averaged 7.5 points and 4 rebounds in ACB last season.
