Latvian superstar Kristaps Porzingis is adamant on staying with the New York Knicks.

Porzingis is currently back home in Latvia and during a Q&A session with several youngsters, he was asked about his future with the Knicks?

The 21-year-old was emphatic with his answer and to the delight of New York fans, he said that he wanted to stay in the Big Apple.

“I feel that it is the best place to win,” Porzingis said.

“And if you win in New York, you are king. For the last two years, I have had so many positive emotions here that this is where I want to stay and that this is where I want to win.”

Porzingis’ numbers went down slightly last season, but he remains a key piece of the Knicks line-up. In his two seasons in the NBA, he has averaged 16.1 points and 7.3 rebounds.

News of Porzingis’ loyalty to the Knicks will come as a welcome relief as the team copes with the Carmelo Anthony trade fiasco.
