Real Madrid made an offer to Mike Batiste for the next two seasons. Batiste is probably looking at his last big contract, as he will be turning 33 in November, so he knows he has to consider every offer even though Panathinaikos is his first option.

Real Madrid is offering the player a closed two-year deal, worth 4 million and though Panathinaikos may match the offer financially they prefer a 1+1 contract to Batiste.

Batiste has repeatedly expressed his wish to stay at Panathinaikos, but the Green management is only involved with the Spanoulis case so far, and if they don’t hurry up they may regret it.
