Stratos Perperoglou and Barcelona have parted ways after the Catalan side will not renew his contract, as mentioned on Mundo Deportivo.

In his two seasons with Barca, Perperoglou averaged 7.4 points and 2.5 rebounds in 72 matches in the Liga Endesa. This season in EuroLeague, the Greek veteran averaged 6.4 points and 3.1 rebounds.

Now with Perperoglou leaving Catalonia, the focus turns to his next destination with Panathinaikos emerging as a favourite destination for the 32-year-old.

And now with the Greek League confined to the history books, the Athens club will look to step up their talks with Perperoglou in the coming weeks.

Perperoglou is a three-time EuroLeague champion, with two of those trophies with Panathinaikos in 2009 and 2011. He won his third with rivals Olympiacos in 2013.
