Diamon Simpson is coming to save injury victim Maccabi Tel Aviv. 29-year old is going to stay in Israel until the end of the season. Simpson is coming from Czech where he played for CEZ Nymburk. Maccabi needed help desperately as this week against Olympiacos they are going to play without third top scorer in EuroLeague regular season Andrew Goudelock. Maccabi also lost Devin Smith which is top rebounder in the team and Quincy Miller.

This is not a first visit at Israel for Simpson as he played three years there. Forward got a chance to play for Nes Ziona and Maccabi Ashdod. Simpson in his career also played for Estudiantes Madrid, Turk Telekom Ankara, he got a chance also to play in Australia and Philippines.

Simpson this season averaged 8,5 points and 5,5 rebounds with additional 1,1 block per game. In 2013-14 season for Nes Ziona he averaged 16,8 points which was fourth best scoring result in Israel league.

Maccabi Tel Aviv is 13th in EuroLeague with 8 wins and 15 losses with four wins behind TOP-8.
