Baskonia have been dealt a double blow with the news that influential point guard Shane Larkin could be doubtful for Thursday’s EuroLeague game against Unics Kazan but forward Andrea Bargnani will definitely be sidelined.
Bargnani is suffering with a patellofemoral pain syndrome in his left knee will remain in Vitoria and begin his recovery with a platelet-rich plasma treatment. The approximate initial recovery time is estimated at around two weeks, pending certain evaluation in the next days.
The Italian will not travel to Kazan with the team.
Larkin is being treated as day-to-day by Baskonia staff as the former NBA veteran is suffering with flu-like symptoms which forced him to miss training this week.
The American will travel with the team to Russia but will be a game-time decision.
