British Basketball confirmed on Twitter that FIBA are looking into the behaviour of the Hungary fans during their side’s 88-80 win over Great Britain on Saturday.

The band of supporters involved all arrived less than five before tip-off at the CopperBox and were wildly cheering during both national anthems and later on they were all escorted from the venue by security only to return early in the third quarter.

It was confirmed that one of the Hungary supporters actually punched Great Britain’s team mascot Leroy and that they were throwing coins towards press row, as they were located in front of the working media.

But it has also been surfaced that Hungary’s supporters have been accused of racist chanting, although that has not been officially confirmed.
