Aaron Holiday will continue his professional career overseas after agreeing to join Maxima Roma in Italy’s Lega Basket Serie A.
The former NBA guard becomes part of a new-look roster that also features ex-NBA players Xavier Moon and Matt Ryan.
Maxima Roma is preparing for its debut season after acquiring another club’s license and relocating to Rome.
Holiday spent the previous three seasons with the Houston Rockets. Last year, the 6-foot point guard averaged 5.5 points while playing 13.7 minutes per game.
Houston’s backcourt changes left limited room for Holiday.
Fred VanVleet is expected back after recovering from a torn ACL, while the Rockets also brought in Marcus Smart.
