Lakers promote Zach Guthrie to assistant coach

The Los Angeles Lakers have promoted Zach Guthrie from head coach of the South Bay Lakers to assistant coach and head of player development on JJ Redick’s staff, according to ESPN.

Guthrie earned the promotion after leading the South Bay Lakers to the best regular-season record in the NBA G League last season.
