After two, not so successful, seasons of collaboration Real Madrid and Lazaros Papadopoulos paths are set apart.
Lazaros Papadopoulos had joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2007 after a very good Euroleague and domestic league campaigns with Dynamo Moscow. The player had signed a 3 years contract at that time. But his performance never satisfied Real Madrid and last season he was even sent on loan to Fortitudo Bologna in the second half of the season.
Real Madrid new coach, Ettore Messina had made it clear that Papadopoulos did not suit his plans for the new team he had in mind and the club's General Manager Antonio Maceiras let the player know of Messina's thoughts.
It is not yet known where Papadopoulos will continue his career although he has some good offers from Greece, Spain and Italy.
