Rockets sign Bruce Thornton

The Houston Rockets have signed rookie guard Bruce Thornton to a four-year contract worth $9.3 million, league sources told HoopsHype. The agreement includes one fully guaranteed season.

Thornton was selected with the 31st overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft after an outstanding college career that saw him earn All-Big Ten honors three times.

The former Ohio State standout now joins the Rockets as he begins his NBA career under a long-term rookie deal.
