New York Knicks shooting guard Landry Shamet had high praise for Jalen Brunson’s heroic NBA Finals Game 5 performance vs. the San Antonio Spurs on the road (45 points/3 rebounds/3 assists/2 steals/14-27 FG/4-7 3-PT/13-15 FT/+10 +/- in 41 minutes).

*Knicks clinched first title since 1973 with 94-90 win*

*Brunson put up the second 45-point closeout game in Finals history (other was Michael Jordan) and earned Finals MVP*

“We owe him. We weren’t great offensively tonight, but he is generationally great offensively. So, there’s really not a whole lot to say. I mean, we all saw it. He carried us in a lot of different ways. What he does, it’s not really a surprise to us anymore being his teammates. But nights like tonight, you’ve got to look at it and really appreciate it. So, unbelievable performance by him. He obviously deserves all the flowers coming his way.”
