Former NBA guard Quentin Richardson came to the defense of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander amid criticism surrounding the Oklahoma City Thunder star’s ability to draw fouls and get to the free-throw line.

Richardson argued that elite scorers throughout basketball history have always ranked near the top of the league in free-throw attempts.

“Y’all clearly haven’t been watching basketball for the last 50 years… The top guys always lead the league in free throws.”
