Australia have announced their final roster for the Rio Olympics, which begin in three weeks and in a surprising turn, Andrew Bogut has been included despite the big man injuring his knee during the NBA Finals while playing for the Golden State Warriors.

But the 31-year-old, who moved from the Bay Area to the Dallas Mavericks will be included meaning that Boomers fans and staff will be sweating on his fitness. He missed London 2012 as he was recovering from injury, too.

Patty Mills, Matthew Dellavedova, Joe Ingles and Aron Baynes are the other Australian-native NBA players to join Bogut in the 12-man squad, while former NBA big man David Andersen will travel to his fourth Olympics.

Dante Exum, recently recovered from an ACL tear withdrew his name from contention in a bid to get properly fit for next season with the Utah Jazz.
