The Golden State Warriors appear likely to stay in 10th place.

However, there is renewed optimism the season can turn around with Stephen Curry expected to return Sunday after missing more than two months with a knee injury, according to Noah Furtado of The San Francisco Chronicle.

“Now, Superman’s back,” Gary Payton II said, “so we’ll figure it out with that.”

Curry, who hasn’t played since January 30, is especially excited about the opportunity to share the floor with Kristaps Porzingis, who joined the team at the February trade deadline.

“I was telling him, I don’t know how people are going to guard our pick-and-roll,” Curry said.

“Anytime you have talent like that and two guys that can demand attention, it’s always a good thing, to create good offense and help elevate whoever we’re out there with.”
