Memphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke is facing legal trouble after being arrested Wednesday in Arkansas following an encounter with law enforcement.

According to local reports, Clarke was taken into custody shortly after 1 PM local time by the Cross County Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities say the 29-year-old is facing allegations that include speeding, reckless driving, and possession of a controlled substance.

Details remain unclear, as jail records indicate Clarke is currently being held on a “CID hold,” and it has not yet been confirmed what formal charges he will ultimately face.

The arrest came just hours before the Grizzlies were scheduled to host the New York Knicks on Wednesday night.

Clarke, who has been with Memphis since being drafted in 2019, has had a limited role this season, appearing in only two games before a calf strain in late December ruled him out for the rest of the year.
