New York Knicks wing Josh Hart will miss Friday’s game in Brooklyn due to patellofemoral pain syndrome in his right knee, Steve Popper of Newsday reports (Twitter link).

As Jared Schwartz of The New York Post points out (via Twitter), Hart had recently missed time with soreness in his left knee, making this a separate issue.

The condition, commonly referred to as runner’s knee, is the same one that has sidelined Stephen Curry for multiple weeks, though there’s no sign Hart’s situation is as serious.

Hart isn’t alone in dealing with the injury, as the Timberwolves also announced (via Twitter) that Anthony Edwards has patellofemoral pain syndrome in his right knee.

Edwards is expected to miss one-to-two weeks due to inflammation, and according to Chris Hine of The Star Tribune (Twitter link), the updated diagnosis doesn’t change his recovery timeline.
