Guard Bennedict Mathurin’s recent run with the Los Angeles Clippers is set to pause after appearing in 16 straight games since his debut on February 10.
According to Law Murray of The Athletic, Mathurin has been ruled out for upcoming games in New Orleans (Wednesday and Thursday) and Dallas (Saturday) due to a right big toe issue.
Mathurin, whose injury status is officially listed as “right toe injury recovery,” has been dealing with the issue for much of the season.
He previously missed 11 consecutive games in October and November due to what Indiana described at the time as a toe sprain.
Another Clippers guard managing toe trouble this season, Darius Garland, is considered questionable for Wednesday’s game, the first of a back-to-back, due to left toe injury management.
There is also some positive news on the injury front, as Kawhi Leonard has been upgraded to questionable after missing Monday’s matchup against San Antonio with a left ankle sprain.
