Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards recently underwent an MRI, which showed inflammation in his right knee.
The team announced that he will be reevaluated in one to two weeks as he continues his recovery.
Edwards has appeared in 58 games this season, putting him seven games short of the 65-game threshold required for end-of-season award eligibility.
In each of the past three seasons, he played in 79 games.
Despite the injury, Edwards has been highly productive, averaging 29.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.4 steals in 35.5 minutes per game, along with a career-best PER of 22.2.
The Timberwolves are currently tied with the Denver Nuggets for fifth place in the Western Conference and hold a two-game lead over the Phoenix Suns for the No. 6 seed, which would keep them out of the play-in tournament.
