Cleveland Cavaliers forward Evan Mobley said he has felt some frustration with his performance this season following the team’s win over the Dallas Mavericks on Friday, according to Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com.

Speaking after the game, Mobley acknowledged that he entered the year with high expectations for himself but understands that not everything has unfolded the way he had hoped.

“You always have high standards for yourself. I wanted to come out and dominate this year. Injuries. Different things. It doesn’t always go as planned,” the player said.

Mobley added that despite those challenges, he remains focused on the bigger picture and believes the team is still in a strong position moving forward.

He emphasized the importance of continuing to work and staying patient as the season progresses.

“But you always keep going. The end goal is championship. We’re still in a good spot right now. Just got to keep stacking days.

“Wherever that takes you, it’s part of your journey so you can’t really get too hard on yourself. Just know things are going to turn eventually.”

Mobley has played 5 seasons for the Cavaliers. He has averaged 16.7 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 3.0 assists in 322 regular-season games.

He was selected to play in 1 All-Star game, and has won 1 Defensive Player of the Year award.
