After posting a 4-7 record in February while navigating injuries to several key players, the Suns are set to receive a boost ahead of Tuesday’s game in Sacramento.

According to Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic, star guard Devin Booker has been removed from Phoenix’s injury report after sitting out the last four games with a right hip strain.

The Suns went 2-2 in those contests, but Booker’s absence was evident – the team ranked 29th in the league in offensive rating during that span without its top scorer.

Newly added swingman Haywood Highsmith is also absent from the latest injury report, Rankin adds, signaling he could make his season debut.

Highsmith had surgery last August to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee and later encountered a rehab setback in October.

After being traded from Miami to Brooklyn in the offseason and subsequently waived by the Nets last month, he signed with Phoenix as he completed his recovery process.

Meanwhile, two of the Suns’ primary wing defenders, Dillon Brooks, who is dealing with a fractured left hand, and Jordan Goodwin, sidelined by a left calf strain, are still unavailable.

That could open the door for Highsmith to carve out minutes now that he’s cleared to play.
