Devin Booker exited the Phoenix Suns’ 121-94 loss to the San Antonio Spurs during the first half after experiencing soreness in his right hip.

Head coach Jordan Ott did not have additional information about Booker’s condition following the game but explained that the team chose to hold him out as a precaution.

“[He] tried to go back out there,” Ott said. “[Had to] save him from himself. [He] wasn’t moving great when he came back in.”

Booker logged only nine minutes across the first two quarters before being ruled out at halftime.

The 29-year-old had recently returned from a separate injury, having missed seven games between January 25 and February 5 due to a sprained right ankle.

Phoenix is scheduled to face the Orlando Magic at home on Saturday.
