Kenny Atkinson: Nae’Qwan Tomlin’s got an elite motor

Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Kenny Atkinson applauded the motor/defense of two-way forward Nae’Qwan Tomlin after Wednesday’s 94-87 road win vs. the Charlotte Hornets (6 points/9 rebounds/2 assists/zero turnovers/3-7 FG/0-3 3-PT).

“He’s just got a motor. I mean, his motor is elite. First half: four offensive rebounds. We were missing shots, he gets another possession. Then defensively, great on the ball. I mean, there was one loose ball… he’s so long. He gets these loose balls that other guys can’t because he’s so darn long. So, I’m just so excited about him. He fits the prototype of the modern NBA wing. I love that he’s firing up those open threes where his feet are set, and once they start going in… you know. We found ourselves a real player there. He’s been huge for us.”
