The San Antonio Spurs dominated the Oklahoma City Thunder for the third time in two weeks in a matchup on Thursday, Christmas.

De’Aaron Fox led the Spurs with 29 points, while Victor Wembanyama had 19 and 11 rebounds, and Stephon Castle added 19 and seven assists. They shot 53.6% from the field, outscoring the Thunder, who shot 38.9%.

The Spurs also defeated the Thunder in an NBA Cup semifinal on Dec. 13 and in San Antonio on Tuesday.

San Antonio is already in their eighth straight win, while Oklahoma has its second home loss of the season.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander dropped 22 points, scoring at least 20 points for the 102nd consecutive game, but struggled on the field with just 7 of 19.

Thunder big man Isaiah Hartenstein contributed 13 points and 12 rebounds, and Chet Holmgren added 10 and 12 rebounds.

Oklahoma began the season 24-1, tied for the league’s best record in 25 games, and now they are 2-4 since, including the three losses to the Spurs.

The Thunder made their first seven field goals and went up 18-12 before Fox rallied the Spurs to answer back with 21 points in the first half, which head into the break with a nine-point lead 69-60.

San Antonio pushed the lead to 85-68 midway through the third quarter, and a dunk by Dylan Harper late in the third quarter put the Spurs up 91-74.

The Spurs led 95-79 at the end of the period and maintained that lead throughout the game.

The Thunder aim to bounce back against the Sixers on Sunday, while the Spurs look forward to maintaining the momentum against the Jazz on Saturday.
