The Knicks announced that guard Miles McBride will remain sidelined for at least another week, stating he’ll be reevaluated in seven days.

McBride went down in the third quarter of Sunday’s win over Orlando when he drove for a layup and collided with Desmond Bane, whose left foot came down on McBride’s lower left leg during the fall.

He was later diagnosed with a sprained ankle and ruled out of Tuesday’s NBA Cup quarterfinal.

This update confirms he’ll also miss Saturday’s semifinal against Orlando, and he would be unavailable for Tuesday’s championship game as well if New York advances.

Should the Knicks lose on Saturday, they won’t play again until next Thursday in Indiana, giving McBride a brief recovery window.

McBride has played a key role for New York this season, starting nine of his 20 games and posting career bests in scoring, rebounding, minutes, and three-point shooting.

With him out, the Knicks are expected to rely more heavily on Jordan Clarkson and Tyler Kolek behind Jalen Brunson.
