Harrison Barnes scored 31 points and De’Aaron Fox added 29 to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 126-119 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night at Frost Bank Center.

Barnes, who made seven 3-pointers on 10-for-20 shooting, set a season high while Fox contributed nine of his points in the fourth quarter as San Antonio erased a seven-point deficit. Dylan Harper added 15 off the bench as the Spurs improved to 14-6 overall and 9-2 at home.

Memphis (9-13), missing Ja Morant, was paced by Zach Edey’s 19 points and 15 rebounds. Cam Spencer scored a season-high 21, while Jaylen Wells added 20. Jaren Jackson Jr. was limited to seven points and six rebounds.

The Grizzlies outscored San Antonio 58-42 in the paint but the Spurs compensated with perimeter shooting and timely drives. Barnes made his first three 3s to spark the offense and helped San Antonio build a double-digit lead in the second half.

San Antonio shot 46% from the field and 46% from three, while Memphis connected on 50% overall and 35% from deep. The Spurs also recorded 40 rebounds and 7 blocks compared with Memphis’ 50 boards and 6 blocks.

Edey controlled the paint in Wembanyama’s absence, grabbing 11 defensive rebounds and shooting 8-for-12 from the field. A foul incident involving Edey and Jeremy Sochan was reviewed but did not alter the game’s momentum.

San Antonio shot 46% from the field and 46% from three, compared with Memphis’ 50% shooting and 35% from deep. The Spurs also recorded 40 rebounds and seven blocks, helping offset the Grizzlies’ paint dominance.

The Spurs continue their road trip with a game at Orlando on Wednesday, while Memphis hosts the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday.
