Scottie Barnes scored 17 points and Ja’Kobe Walter added a season-high 16 as the Toronto Raptors defeated the Brooklyn Nets 119-109 at Scotiabank Arena on Sunday.
Brandon Ingram added 14 points, reaching 10,000 career points with a second-quarter three, while Immanuel Quickley contributed 13 points, eight coming in the fourth, helping Toronto close out the game.
RJ Barrett scored 16 points before leaving midway through the third quarter with a sprained right knee after landing awkwardly on a fast break dunk.
Brooklyn was paced by Tyrese Martin with a season-high 26 points, Michael Porter Jr. added 25, and Noah Clowney finished with 22, but the Nets could not overcome Toronto’s late surge.
Porter’s layup tied the game at 104 with 4:24 remaining, but Quickley hit two 3-pointers during a 10-0 Raptors run over the next 2 1/2 minutes that sealed the win.
Toronto held a 65-58 lead at halftime after shooting 50% from the field in the first half, with Josh Minott and Gradey Dick contributing off the bench.
Sandro Mamukelashvili started for Jakob Poeltl, who missed the game with a sore lower back, and Collin Murray-Boyles returned after missing two games with a knee issue.
The Raptors shot 46% overall and 50% from three-point range, while Brooklyn finished 47% from the field and 35% from beyond the arc.
Toronto improves to 12-5, winning seven straight games, while the Nets fall to 3-13 on the season.
The Raptors host Cleveland on Monday, and Brooklyn faces the New York Knicks the same night.
