The Los Angeles Lakers and Utah Jazz released their injury reports ahead of Sunday’s meeting in Salt Lake City, offering a clearer picture of each rotation entering the Western Conference matchup.
Los Angeles will be without Bronny James and Adou Thiero, as both remain on G League assignment.
The Lakers enter the night at 11-4 and riding a three-game winning streak, backed by recent victories over Milwaukee and Utah.
Luka Doncic continues to drive their offense with 34.6 points, 8.5 rebounds and 9.0 assists per game, while Austin Reaves adds 28.1 points and 7.6 assists during one of the strongest stretches of his career.
Rui Hachimura’s 15.1 points per game and Deandre Ayton’s team-leading 8.8 rebounds have helped stabilize the frontcourt during the early-season run.
Utah faces the deeper availability concerns, ruling out five players for the home game. Elijah Harkless, John Tonje and Oscar Tshiebwe remain on G League two-way assignments.
Walker Kessler will sit due to a left-shoulder recovery, removing Utah’s top rebounder at 10.8 boards per game and one of its primary rim protectors. Georges Niang is also unavailable because of a left-foot stress reaction.
Utah enters the contest at 5-10 and on a two-game slide after losses to Oklahoma City and Los Angeles.
Lauri Markkanen’s 29.9 points per game continue to anchor the Jazz offense, with Keyonte George supplying 22.8 points and 7.1 assists as the group’s primary initiator. Svi Mykhailiuk adds 9.7 points per night, and Isaiah Collier contributes 6.4 assists.
The Lakers won the first meeting of the season 140-126 on November 18. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:00 PM ET at the Delta Center.
