The Indiana Pacers will host the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, with both teams dealing with extensive injury issues that could heavily influence the outcome.
According to the official NBA injury report, the Pacers will be without several rotation players, including Tyrese Haliburton, who remains sidelined with a right Achilles tendon tear.
Indiana, sitting at 1–6, will also miss Bennedict Mathurin (right great toe strain), Obi Toppin (right foot stress fracture), Andrew Nembhard (left shoulder strain), and T.J. McConnell (left hamstring strain). Guard RayJ Dennis is listed as probable with a low back sprain, while Johnny Furphy, Kam Jones, and Quenton Jackson remain unavailable.
The Pacers’ offense has centered around Pascal Siakam, who is averaging 26.0 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 5.3 assists through seven games. Aaron Nesmith has added 14.7 points per contest, while forward Jarace Walker has contributed 12.1 points and 6.3 rebounds in an expanded role.
On the opposite side, Brooklyn enters the matchup still searching for its first win of the 2025–26 season. The Nets are 0–7 after a 109–125 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday. Cam Thomas continues to lead Brooklyn in scoring at 24.4 points per game, supported by Michael Porter Jr., who is averaging 20.8 points and 8.0 rebounds.
The Nets will also be shorthanded. Haywood Highsmith remains out following right knee surgery, while guard Drake Powell is sidelined with a right ankle sprain. Ben Saraf, Nolan Traore, and Danny Wolf are all on G League assignments and unavailable for the main roster.
Brooklyn’s frontcourt anchor Nic Claxton, averaging 14.1 points and 6.7 rebounds, will face a test against Indiana’s interior rotation led by Isaiah Jackson. The Nets have struggled defensively, allowing 125.0 points per game, while the Pacers have been equally inconsistent on that end, giving up 118.0 per outing.
Wednesday’s game tips off at 7:00 p.m. ET in Indianapolis.
