Devin Booker scored 31 points as the Phoenix Suns overcame a 20-point deficit to defeat the Sacramento Kings 120-116 on Wednesday night at Mortgage Matchup Center. Jordan Ott earned his first win as head coach in his NBA debut.

Dillon Brooks added 22 points in his Suns debut, while Grayson Allen contributed 18 points. Brooks’ physical defense in the fourth quarter helped contain Kings star DeMar DeRozan during the crucial stretch.

The Kings built a 17-point halftime lead, fueled by strong shooting from Zach LaVine and DeRozan, but Phoenix closed the gap to 92-90 entering the fourth quarter. Royce O’Neale’s 3-pointer gave the Suns their first second-half lead with 10:31 remaining.

Sacramento tied the game at 110 with 1:15 left on a Malik Monk jumper, but Brooks made three free throws on the next possession to push Phoenix ahead 113-110. The Suns maintained the lead the rest of the way.

LaVine led the Kings with 30 points on 13-of-24 shooting, while DeRozan added 29 and Monk chipped in 19 off the bench. New acquisition Russell Westbrook finished with six points and six rebounds.

Phoenix shot 47.4% from the field and distributed the ball effectively, recording 25 assists on 45 made baskets. Booker also added five rebounds and five assists, guiding the Suns’ offense during the comeback.

The Kings were without Domantas Sabonis, sidelined by a right hamstring strain. The Suns were missing Jalen Green due to a hamstring injury, who was part of last season’s trade involving Kevin Durant.
