The Milwaukee Bucks are taking extraordinary steps to ensure Giannis Antetokounmpo feels fully supported, according to NBA insider Shams Charania. The team recently signed Giannis’s younger brother, Alex Antetokounmpo, to a two-way contract, creating the first active roster in NBA history featuring three siblings.

Alex, 24, brings a mix of size and versatility at 6-foot-7, with professional experience across Europe and the G League. He spent time with PAOK and Aris in Greece and appeared for the Wisconsin Herd, averaging 5.7 points and 2.9 rebounds in 22.3 minutes per game during the 2023–24 season.

The two-way deal allows Alex to split his time between the Bucks and the Herd, providing him NBA exposure while continuing his development. Milwaukee hopes the move strengthens team chemistry and offers Giannis added comfort as he considers his future beyond this season.

Charania noted that while the Bucks are clearly making moves to accommodate Giannis, his decisions regarding his contract and long-term plans remain independent. He has one year left on his deal, and his ultimate choice will likely depend on the team’s performance, especially in the early stages of the NBA season.

This marks the first time in NBA history that three siblings will be on active roster contracts for the same team. The Antetokounmpo brothers’ presence could provide unique chemistry on the court, with Alex offering complementary skills on both ends of the floor.
