Following Olympiacos’ dominant win against Dubai BC, Tyler Dorsey spoke with Eurohoops about the team’s response, his own mindset, and how confidence continues to shape his approach to the EuroLeague season.
Olympiacos rebounded in strong fashion after their earlier setback, and Dorsey made it clear that the team took valuable lessons from their defeat.
“We let that game slip. We had a good start in the first half, and in the second, we knew we couldn’t relax. That’s something we learned from the Madrid game. We improved, showed energy, and closed the game early,” he said, emphasizing the need to stay locked in for all four quarters.
He also spoke about adjusting his style of play to better serve the team’s flow.
“I just let the game come to me. I tried to get some assists and do other things. I know I can be better – I even airballed a three, and it’s been a long time since that happened,” he said with a laugh, showing a mix of self-awareness and ambition.
For Dorsey, everything comes back to belief and preparation.
“Confidence is huge in this game. The best players have the most confidence and belief. I get mine from work – extra shots, extra effort. That’s what builds confidence for me,” he explained.
