The Orlando Magic have made another tweak to their training camp roster, signing guard Johnell Davis to an Exhibit 10 contract, according to Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel.

To make room for Davis, the team waived Justin Minaya, who was also on an Exhibit 10 deal. The Magic later confirmed the pair of moves in an official press release.

Davis, who went undrafted in 2025, brings experience and versatility after spending five years at the collegiate level.

He played four seasons at Florida Atlantic University, where he developed a reputation as a tough, two-way guard, before transferring to Arkansas for his final season.

With the Razorbacks in 2024–25, Davis averaged 12.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.4 steals per game, showing his defensive activity and ability to contribute in multiple areas.

The 6’4″ guard also got an early look with Orlando during Summer League action, appearing in three games.

In limited minutes, he posted averages of 4.3 points and 2.3 assists while playing 17.9 minutes per contest, giving the Magic a glimpse of his playmaking ability and energy on both ends.

As for Minaya, the 26-year-old forward previously spent parts of three seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers, appearing in 57 games but never carving out a consistent role in the rotation.

Like Davis, Minaya will now be eligible to earn a bonus of up to $85,300 if he spends at least 60 days with Orlando’s G League affiliate, the Osceola Magic.

That same structure applies to Davis as well, should the team waive him before the regular season and look to keep him developing within their system.
