Nikola Jovic has agreed to a four-year, $62.4MM rookie scale extension with the Heat, per agents Jeff Schwartz, Sean Kennedy and Jared Mucha.

The deal has no player or team options.

The 22-year-old forward is coming off his best season (10.7 PPG, 3.9 RPG, 2.8 APG, 45.6% FG, 37.1% 3PT) but was limited to 46 games after a hand injury.

He returned in the playoffs, scoring 24 points in Game 4 vs. Cleveland.

Jovic, mostly used off the bench last season, hopes to compete for a starting role in camp.

He’ll earn $4.4MM this year before the extension kicks in, keeping him under contract through 2029/30 – the only Heat player signed beyond 2028/29.

Drafted 27th in 2022, Jovic has battled injuries but has carved out a bigger role.

He becomes the fifth player from his draft class to land an extension, with teams having until Oct. 20 to finalize deals.

Miami still faces key decisions on Tyler Herro and Norman Powell moving forward.
