It was just four months ago when the Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum suffered a torn Achilles tendon injury during the Eastern semifinal round against the New York Knicks last postseason.

Durant reacted to Tatum’s return to the floor in a limited on-court workout, via X.

He had to go through a much longer rehab before he got back on the court, as he also experienced the same injury in the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors.

The two-time champion missed the 2019-2020 season, while Tatum has not yet ruled out his appearance this upcoming season.

Despite the 7-foot wing recovering for 18 months from a ruptured Achilles, he was fully healthy when he returned with the Brooklyn Nets, playing to his full potential.

Kobe Bryant spent less than eight months recovering in 2013.
