Dennis Schroder’s international resume has taken on yet another milestone. Already recognized as the MVP of the FIBA Basketball World Cup in 2023, the German floor general has now entered rare company at FIBA EuroBasket.

Schroder became just the second German player ever to surpass the 500-point mark in the competition’s history, joining only Dirk Nowitzki on that elite list.

The milestone came during Germany’s high-profile, unbeaten clash with Lithuania on Saturday, further cementing his reputation as one of the greatest guards to ever represent his country on the international stage.

Heading into EuroBasket 2025, Schroder already ranked second on Germany’s all-time scoring list, trailing only Nowitzki, who not only tops the German charts but also stands among the three most prolific scorers in EuroBasket history overall.

For context, the Sacramento Kings guard entered the contest averaging 22.0 points and 5.5 assists per game across Germany’s first two outings of the tournament, showing both his scoring efficiency and his ability to orchestrate the offense.

Germany’s all-time EuroBasket scoring list now looks like this:

  1. Dirk Nowitzki – 49 games, 1052 points
  2. Dennis Schroder – 23 games*, 518 points*
  3. Patrick Femerling – 50 games, 441 points
  4. Ademola Okulaja – 42 games, 390 points
  5. Hans-Joachim Flau – 34 games, 370 points
  6. Herbert Kulik – 39 games, 365 points
  7. Michael Jackel – 16 games, 347 points
  8. Volkhardt Uhlig – 33 games, 338 points
  9. Christian Welp – 31 games, 320 points
  10. Detlef Schrempf – 15 games, 302 points

(*As of August 30 games played.)

With 518 career EuroBasket points after just 23 games, Schroder has reached the mark at an impressive pace compared to others on the list, underscoring not only his consistency but also his ability to take on the scoring burden in major moments.

Passing 500 points highlights Schroder’s steady impact. Nowitzki’s 1052 remains far ahead, but Schroder’s mix of scoring, playmaking, and leadership shows he is firmly establishing his place with Germany’s national team.
