Montenegro have finalized their 12-man squad for FIBA EuroBasket 2025, with NBA veteran Nikola Vucevic once again the focal point of the team.

Head coach Bosko Radovic confirmed the roster ahead of their next preparation game, a Friday showdown against Türkiye, as the team continues to fine-tune before the start of the tournament.

Montenegro’s confirmed roster for EuroBasket 2025:

Kyle Allman, Igor Drobnjak, Vladimir Mihailovic, Balsa Zivanovic, Zoran Vuceljic, Dordije Jovanovic, Andrija Slavkovic, Emir Hadzibegovic, Bojan Tomasevic, Marko Simonovic, Zoran Nikolic, Nikola Vucevic

So far, Montenegro’s pre-EuroBasket campaign has been a mixed one. They claimed victories over Bosnia and Herzegovina and Israel, but came up short against European heavyweights France and Greece, leaving them with a balanced 2-2 record heading into their clash with Ergin Ataman’s Türkiye.

This summer carries added significance, as it marks what is expected to be Vucevic’s final appearance with the national team.

The two-time NBA All-Star has been the face of Montenegrin basketball for more than a decade, and his presence will be pivotal as the nation enters its fifth-ever EuroBasket appearance.

Progressing to the Final Phase will not come easy, given the depth of talent in Group B. Montenegro will share the stage in Tampere with hosts Finland, as well as Lithuania, Germany, Sweden, and Great Britain – a highly competitive field.

However, there is quite optimism within the squad. With Vucevic anchoring the paint and Kyle Allman bringing an extra spark to the backcourt, Montenegro believes they have the tools to extend their recent rise on the continental stage.

The team’s EuroBasket journey begins with a stern test: an opening matchup against Germany on August 27 at 15:30 CET, a game that could set the tone for their campaign.
