A group of cryptocurrency traders is claiming responsibility for the bizarre “dildo epidemic” disrupting recent WNBA games.

The group, tied to the meme coin Green Dildo Coin (DILDO), allegedly coordinated the pranks, with an anonymous member known as @Daldo_Raine teasing more antics to come.

At least five games in the past two weeks have been interrupted by green dildos thrown onto the court. Two people – Delbert Carver, 23, and Kaden Lopez, 18 – were arrested in separate incidents, facing charges ranging from disorderly conduct to indecent exposure.

The WNBA issued a strong statement, emphasizing that fan safety is paramount and warning that anyone throwing objects will be ejected, banned for a year, and possibly prosecuted.

Players and coaches have condemned the stunts. Fever’s Sophia Cunningham was hit in the ankle by one during a game.

Sparks coach Lynne Roberts called it “dangerous and stupid,” while Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve criticized the sexualization of women behind the so-called prank.

Liberty’s Isabelle Harrison called it immature and unprofessional, saying, “This isn’t a joke. This is our job.”

The crypto group denies targeting women’s sports and says the arrested individuals weren’t affiliated with them.
