OG Anunoby isn’t staying quiet about his NBA 2K26 rating.
During a recent conversation with Ronnie Singh—better known as Ronnie 2K—the Knicks forward confronted the 2K Sports executive over his overall rating of 87, arguing that it should be significantly higher.
The exchange took place after a dinner at the Wynn in Las Vegas, according to Singh, who recounted the conversation on “The Big Podcast with Shaq.” Singh said Anunoby spoke “for a half an hour,” making a detailed case that he deserved a 92 rating based on both sides of the ball.
“He had real thoughts, real feelings, real things to back up,” Singh said, via ClutchPoints. “His argument was that we skew offensively more than defensively. I actually don’t agree with that.”
Anunoby’s current 2K build is listed as a Two-Way Inside-Out Shot Creator with 15 badges, including four Gold-level. His 90 perimeter defense and 95 defensive consistency are among the highest in the game.
The 28-year-old is coming off a strong 2024–25 campaign with New York, starting all 74 games and averaging 18.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.5 steals while shooting 47.6% from the field and 37.2% from deep.
In the playoffs, Anunoby was again a crucial two-way presence, helping the Knicks reach the Eastern Conference Finals. He averaged 16.3 points and 2.0 steals in 39.2 minutes per game over 18 postseason contests.
Over his eight-year career, Anunoby has earned a reputation as one of the NBA’s elite perimeter defenders. He led the league in steals during the 2022–23 season and continues to match up with top scoring threats across positions.
His criticism highlights a familiar complaint among defensive-minded players: that offensive stats weigh more heavily in 2K’s overall formula. While Anunoby boasts an 82 three-point rating and 85 driving dunk, his inside scoring and playmaking numbers are modest.
