The Miami Heat have surfaced as a possible destination for Bradley Beal as his exit from the Phoenix Suns appears imminent. According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, the Heat are weighing several financial options to bring in the veteran guard if a buyout is finalized.

Jackson revealed on social media that Beal was the player he had been hinting at in earlier reports. He highlighted Beal’s efficient production last season — 17.0 points per game on 49.7% shooting, including 38.6% from three — as a reason Miami and other contenders remain interested.

The Suns are reportedly working to move on from Beal after a disappointing 36–46 campaign. His $100 million in remaining salary and full no-trade clause have made a direct trade unworkable, pushing the sides closer to a buyout agreement.

Jackson detailed how Miami could approach a potential Beal signing. The Heat could offer him roughly $5 million from the non-taxpayer midlevel exception and stay below the tax line, or go as high as $12 million and exceed it while triggering a hard cap.

Pat Riley, Jackson noted, has suggested the Heat would prefer to avoid the luxury tax this season but may reenter it in future years. Another possibility remains that Miami offers only a veteran minimum deal, depending on how the market develops.

Beal, 31, joined the Suns in June 2023 after a trade from Washington but struggled to carve out a consistent role next to Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. With Phoenix now focusing on a younger core and cap flexibility, his departure seems inevitable.

While the Heat have been mentioned as a favorite, Jackson also pointed out that the Milwaukee Bucks could become more aggressive in pursuing Beal to support Giannis Antetokounmpo. Other playoff-caliber teams are monitoring the situation closely.

Miami’s front office must also consider the potential of a future Andrew Wiggins trade and whether hard-capping themselves too early would limit flexibility for other deals.

Beal is said to favor destinations that offer family stability along with a competitive roster, factors that make Miami an appealing fit. If the Suns and Beal finalize a buyout, the Heat could secure an experienced scorer at a manageable cost.
