The New York Knicks are actively conducting interviews to fill their vacant head coaching position, with Minnesota Timberwolves assistant coach Micah Nori emerging as the third confirmed candidate to meet with the organization.
Nori joins a growing list that includes former NBA head coaches Mike Brown and Taylor Jenkins, both of whom have already held discussions with the Knicks’ front office.
Micah Nori has been part of the Timberwolves coaching staff since 2021, having been brought on board during Chris Finch’s first full season as Minnesota’s head coach.
During the 2023 NBA playoffs, Nori stepped into a more prominent role, serving as the Timberwolves’ sideline coach while Finch was sidelined due to a knee ligament injury.
Nori’s coaching experience extends beyond Minnesota. Over the years, he has contributed to the coaching staffs of several other NBA franchises, including the Toronto Raptors, Sacramento Kings, Denver Nuggets, and Detroit Pistons.
His diverse background and solid reputation have placed him on the shortlist for head coaching positions multiple times throughout his career, highlighting him as a respected and viable candidate for leading the Knicks moving forward.
