The Denver Nuggets’ season came to a disappointing close, falling short of their aspirations with a Game 7 defeat in the Western Conference Semifinals to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Despite the early exit, the team’s performance under interim head coach David Adelman has made a strong case for him to be considered for the permanent position.

While Nuggets governor Josh Kroenke has yet to officially name a full-time replacement, he expressed deep pride in his team’s resilience and determination during a challenging period.

“Aside from winning a title, I’ve never been more proud of a group,” Kroenke shared with ESPN. “These players really came together when it mattered most.”

Late in the regular season, Kroenke decided to part ways with head coach Michael Malone and general manager Calvin Booth.

In the wake of that shake-up, Adelman stepped in to guide the team from the sidelines, while Ben Tenzer assumed the duties of interim general manager.

Adelman’s leadership during the playoff push did not go unnoticed.

Key players, including Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Aaron Gordon, voiced their support for him, commending his handling of the pressure of stepping into a leadership role on such short notice.
