In the series opener, the Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green struggled to find his rhythm, finishing with just seven points on 3-for-15 shooting.

This performance came after a strong regular season, where Green averaged 21 points per game.

Along with his shooting woes, he also registered only two assists in the game.

Coach Ime Udoka, as reported by Jonathan Alexander of the Houston Chronicle, acknowledged that the Warriors’ defense made things difficult for Green but emphasized that it wasn’t just the turnovers that hurt him.

“They went after him some, but he played in the crowd a little bit too much,” Udoka remarked.

“It’s not really the turnovers as much as the shots in the crowd where you have to find your outlet … When he has isolations, you’ve got to find your outlet. That’s going to be a big key in this series.”

Udoka’s comments suggest that Green needs to be more selective with his shot attempts, particularly when he’s surrounded by defenders.

The key to his success will be his ability to make plays for others or find alternative options when the defense collapses on him.

If Green can adjust and improve in these areas, it could help the Rockets’ offense find better flow in the series.
